I am a long time lurker on this forum. A little about me, I am male and 44 years old. My soon to be ex wife and I separated back in July of last year. We had to sell our home and move out to separate apartments. We have a 7 year old daughter together that sees me every other weekend.
I finally got my freedom in October, with my new apartment and healed a lot over the months. I found a therapist and am trying to heal.
I know a lot of the posts here appear to indicate that 1 year is the magic number with respect to healing and beginning to date again. Yet, I have tried to date and it has been ridiculously unsuccessful. I am not sure what the problem is. I am not divorced, nor have the papers been filed. My ex was the one who wanted it, plus it also helps her and her son that I have them on my health insurance through my work.
Perhaps some people can shed some light as to why I am so unlucky in the dating world? Yes, I imagine the COVID pandemic has some impact on it, but I have read some success stories.
I have removed the picture per moderator request.
