Over 40 with little kids; anyone have luck with dating someone whose kids are now adults?

Post Body

I have kids in elementary school, shared parenting with the ex living nearby, not a whole bunch of drama compared to what it could be. I find someone reasonable, I have hopes, and then they immediately vanish when they find out the ages of my kids. Their kids are legally adults and one their own even, certainly not needing a babysitter. Does anyone have advice on where to look specifically for 40s singles with younger kids, other than go to school events and hunt for grey highlights and DILF or MILF bodies? I honestly canโ€™t tolerate the PTA crowd dynamic. Iโ€™ve tried starting casual conversations with common parenting themes or interests with no bites for even getting kids together for activities the kids jointly enjoy. Hints?
