54M here seeking a stable and loving long term relationship as my primary dating objective. But I also want sex.

Over the last 8 months or so I’ve had a dozen or so first or second dates. In the chatting to get to know each other and on these early dates I forego any mention or hint of sex.

Essentially, I’m wondering if I’m killing all sexual energy and stymying attraction by being so prim and proper. The longer it’s been since I’ve had sex, the itchier that scratch gets. So I’m thinking I need to relax my constraints and open up to hookups / FWBs / short term dating for a spell, even though I still want an LTR.

Thoughts on changing needs?
