So I went out on a date with a man and he now goes by his middle name. Apparently, his previous gf was molested as a child by a man named T so he now goes by P. He thought maybe he had gone overboard by making this change for her. While no one ever needs to change their name for another person, I actually thought that what he did was amazing. I was molested by an uncle growing up and I’ve avoided other men with that name my whole life. All I can think about when I hear the name is the abuse and I hate it. How have others dealt with this?
