I’ve had many relationships throughout my life (married for 10 years, 5 longer term girlfriends that lasted from 6 mo’s to 4 years, and dozens of dates). Prior to the days of OLD I would only date neighbors or women already in my personal social circle. I’ve just always sensed (feared?) that women unknown to me walk the world with body language that says “leave me alone” or “get away”.

Nowadays I do date strangers but it’s exclusively through OLD channels where women are actively looking to date. The challenge is that they’re mostly distant and I’d rather meet someone in my neighborhood. And I know there are plenty of women, especially older ones, who eschew OLD.

I know bars or nightclubs are less taboo with conversations between strangers, but how do I recognize a woman otherwise in the wild (grocery store, walking by, etc.) and successfully approach her and get her number?
