Does it seem like people are crazy for travel?

It seems like a recurring theme in the profiles of women that I'm seeing on hinge. I saw one today that said "I go crazy for: travel, travel, travel"

I take a trip out of the country every couple of years and that seems like a lot compared to other people. Is this just a thing with people over 50? Some of my friends, it seems like they are out of town two weekends a month. The weird thing to me is that I live in an area where the summers are great and the winters are kind of miserable so I don't understand why people travel in the summer to get out of this area...
