Does DO50 turn into a free-for-all?

Have dated a lot. Been in relationships a lot. But from what I see happening with friends and family (and now my dating life), it feels like late 50s is just lots of singles who have lost hope for an LTR and are just aimlessly screwing. Like some free love era.
Does anyone else get this impression?
