I'm curious if anyone plays board games, card games, even video games, with their adult partners or romantic interests. Depending on the game, it's the sort of thing that can be played between a couple or with friends for a social activity.
I think men tend to be stereotyped as the game players, but I know a lot of women who love them, particularly board games (Scrabble) and card games (almost anything that isn't just gambling).
One thing is you get to see how you well you get along with the other person, either as a teammate or as a competitor. How do they handle winning? How do they handle losing? Are they good or selfish teammates if you're playing cooperatively--are they kind or merciless if you're playing competitively?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I tend to think a lot of adults forget about game playing unless kids are around. And even playing something I'm lukewarm about, like Yahtzee, is more interesting than watching TV on a night when there's nothing I really care about seeing.
