RIP the never-quite-right microwave my ex "took care of" by installing in 2017. The way he lauded himself for that contribution to our home ... I should have made him a crown.
Said home is solely mine now after I bought him out in 2019 during the divorce. I've enjoyed the caretaking and solo pride of ownership, so I figured I could tackle the installation of a replacement.
As I'm removing the old microwave, it nearly rips out of the wall. Apparently when he installed the mounting plate, he skipped the drywall anchors or toggle bolts.
Just another drop in the bucket of reminders of why I'm better off without him. Any of you get these little delayed affirmations?
