Context: I am 22f who is into women.

In real life i am extremely funny and humorious around my friends and people to whom i am not attracted to. My personality almost switch off when its comes to talking to girls i like. Now in dating apps as well, i just dont know what to say to my matches. Should i complement her or what. And english isnt even my first language so it makes me so hesitant to say anything. All the girls on dating apps are not from same background as i am. So i just feel like i can't understand them and they can't understand me. Why am i like this? I have never dated anyone in my life. If this keeps on happening i am going to be single and alone forever.
