I’m now 32, but looking back at this situation, I find it odd.

When I was a junior in high school, I had this very young attractive English teacher. She was just out of college—22. During class, she’d always compliment me on my looks (in front of everyone). Sometimes, when she was lecturing and walking around the room, she’d even touch my shoulder or run her hands through my hair.

Last day of school, after we took finals, she called my home shortly after I arrived home (early letting out day around 12:00). She asked me where I placed my final papers. She claimed she couldn’t find them. There was only one place to put them before we left the class room, and I made sure to place them there.

I simply told her I placed them in the basket, and that was that. Never spoke to her again. I saw her just a couple of times in my senior year, and she always gave me an evil eye.

What was going on here? I’ve recently just thought about it because this teacher just won a major prize in her district.
