I (34M) have been in a relationshipmwith my partner (30F) for about 9 years. For the last 3 year or so we have partaked of an open relationship. I have had really sporadic dates, and with the pandemic it certainly decreased, I’m an introvert and meeting new people is always the hardest part. My partner has more recently kind of formalized a bit with another person and has frequently visited him on a different zip code for lack of a better term.
Just this week I met an old acquaintance back from college, a sweet pretty girl that we were kinda into each other back in the day. I asked her out and the plan is to have dinner this saturday and perhaps some drinks. My expectations are a bit fuzzy, definitely not expecting much of going out the first time, don’t think this would even qualify for a date, however, looking into the possibility that some connection happens and that the event may evolve into somethin physical… how and when it would be a good time to disclose I’m in an open relationship with my current partner?
My partner is aware I’m going out with this girl on saturday and she even got me all perked up because she knows meeting “new” people for me is kinda hard.
Let me know your thoughts thank you in advance.
Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes but english is my second language.
