Not really look for advice on this one, just want somewhere to share my experience since i last posted I suppose.
So around 6 months ago I posted on here totally lost as to where to start as my interests/ hobbies are either extremely male dominated or done with a closed group of friends.
Since that post I can honestly say that, while there have been highs and lows, I'm doing better (therapist, correctly diagnosed/medicated, losing weight).
This led me to giving OLD another try after not touching it in years and have discovered a few things about myself in the process
I either look less like a sack of potatoes than I thought I did, or there is something else im doing right to be getting fairly consistent matches.
While I can start a conversation pretty easily, if it feels like I'm the only one carrying the conversation I lose interest pretty much immediately.
Whether it because of no.2 or something else, I seriously struggle to generate any kind of connection through text and more or less require face to face conversations to work out how well I mesh with people.
And finally, I think I'll be shredding my OLD accounts soon with the exception of maybe hinge as the people I have matched with there seem less put off by my want to meet properly.
So all in all, while it's not the result I wanted from it, I think it was important for me to discover.
