Hey everyone! Recently I realized why the men in my life (I'm a female, age 18) don't chase after me.

I don't play games, I'm open and honest. If I like someone I make them aware of it by asking to hang out or call, or ask them about their day. I realize this is what has been driving men away.

So now I don't know what to do. I don't want them thinking I am uninterested yet I don't want them to think I'm clingy. Recently I was talking to a guy who seemed interested at first but now I realize I'm the one always texting first and caring so I'm giving him a break. But I still want him to like me and I don't know how to do that. What do I do here? Obviously, I don't think texting him when he doesn't reciprocate is the right thing to do, but I wish I could get at least someone to chase me.

Does anyone have any similar experiences or any helpful advice?
