To those who were interested in my dilemma: Per the advice of a platonic female friend, she advised that I just stop “fucking around,” (her words) and add her on Facebook. She accepted the request and I asked her if she recognized me and she said “of course, silly.” I took this as a good sign and attempted to engage her in further banter, which was followed with nothing. Either I stonewalled the conversation immediately, or she’s not even interested in being friendly acquaintances. So I think I’m going to close the lid on this one now, lads. There’s no point in pushing and wind up looking like a psycho.
