I (F31) have been chatting/casually dating him (M27) for the last year - lots of dates, sex, Christmas and New Years together, etc. We had a bit of a spat in January and more or less stopped communicating. Within the last two weeks he has been all over my snapchat and Facebook Messenger. First it started with silly memes about this pandemic and then it snowballed into chatting on and off most days on one or both platforms. When I visit my parents, which I did over the weekend, I don't have an internet connection and when I warned him, he promptly sent me a text. I'm not complaining about the communication, I'm just curious if there's any real reason why he would do this? My anxiety is telling me multiple reasons and I'd just like some clarity.

TL;DR: On-again, off-again recently chatting me up extensively but across multiple platforms...why?
