Do I have to worry or just let it go?
Post Body

My boyfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship. His ex works with him. His past was painful—she cheated on him. After a long time, he met me. We’ve been together for 7 months now.

Today, we had a conversation about his ex, and he was nervous about a situation that happened at work. He told me that he noticed she started talking to another guy at work. One day, as he was passing by them, he said out loud to that guy, “Be careful,” and walked away. But later, he started stressing out, saying, “Why did I say that?” and “I just said what was on my mind, but then I realized I shouldn’t have.” He’s worried that this situation might cause problems at work, like a complaint against him or something similar, because she has done things like this before. (His ex cheated on him at work with another guy, which is why they broke up.)

This made me a little uneasy. Why does he even pay attention to this?

Then I told myself—if I ever have solid proof that he’s cheating on me, I’ll just leave. There’s no point in overthinking.

What do you think about this situation?
