I confessed to the guy I like last night he rejected me and I didn't respond on that. He messaged me this morning that he has feelings for me. What does this mean?

Hi F22 and I like this M23. He's the first one before that approach me first but I didn't like him yet that time. So we hang out for days and I confirmed to myself that I really like him so last night I had the courage to confess on him but he rejects me. I didn't respond anymore to his long message about rejection because it hurts and he's just my neighbor so I'm embarass to go out. Now he messaged me this morning that he has feelings on me but he made it clear last night that he's not ready for relationship.

What does that mean? Like situationship?
