I'm a 20 year old Australian guy who lives in Brisbane, QLD. Recently, I haven't had much time to go out too often, which makes it tricky for me to meet new people, especially since work keeps me quite distant from friends.

I've always been quite confident and never had problems initiating conversation. Meeting new people in person when I wanted to was a strong suit of mine, but once I decided to give some online apps and more recently thought I would dust off my old Reddit account I never used and try it out, I suddenly felt very isolated.

I would consider myself as a well-presented individual and wouldn't say I'm unattractive, especially as I'm usually referred to in the opposite manner by the people I know, so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. Please feel free to offer your own opinions on that though you can dm me if you like since I cant attach images here.

I'm a very generous person who will often go out of my way to ensure the people around me are well and happy, and while sexual relationships have never been my main goal I always ensure my partner enjoys our time together no matter what.

What do you think is the best way to go about online dating?
If online dating is not the way to go, how would you go about meeting new people in an effective way?

Events and get-togethers are fairly sparse in the Brisbane area for my age group but if you know of any feel free to let me know I'll have to go check them out.
