The boy (m27) that I (f26) am talking to made out with someone else
Post Body

I have been talking to a boy for about 2 months now. I am currently going through a legal situation so Iā€™ve explained that I want to go slow so that I can get through that situation and be fully available to him. Weā€™ve gone on 1 other date. Besides that, we talk all the time and share stories about our past.

He has been fully aware that I want to go slow and donā€™t like to feel pressured into pursuing him quickly, but he also knows he is the only other boy Iā€™m talking to.

He has gotten a little agitated with me not wanting to see him all the time, but says he understands.

However on Friday, he got drunk with ā€œfriendsā€. I didnā€™t think much of it, but today someone he has a mutual friiend with requested to be my friend on FB. I asked him who it was, and he told me it was someone he hooked up with a few months ago, and it was the person he hung out with on Friday. He told me they made out and she left her jacket in his car. He stayed the night at her place.

He doesnā€™t think I should be upset since we arenā€™t ā€œtitledā€, but I do feel upset because heā€™s been the only person Iā€™ve given my attention to. I also told him a few weeks ago that Iā€™d understand if he didnā€™t want to wait for me, but he told me he does.

The reason I want to wait is because this legal situation is taking a toll on my mental health and itā€™s all I think about. When itā€™s over in 7 days, I will feel better and more available to pursue our connection in a healthier way.

What would you do in this situation?
