Background: A Coworker and i have been flirting with each other since our first shift, and i've asked her out a few times, but she's always been too busy with Uni/Hobbies/Friends to commit to anything with me. She's recently come out of a 3 year relationship and says she wants to take things slow as she's still a little tender, so i've given her plenty of space and offered "Hey, if you want, we can just go and hang out outside of work and just vibe instead of calling it a 'Date'." I've known she's been kind of talking to another guy but she's said "Oh he's kind of an asshole" and she's said "I would like to hangout with you, but its kind of complicated, ya know?"
Today:
Text conversation between the two of us, after she says "Oh i can't i'm too busy" to me again.
Me:
Would it be better if I asked you to look ahead and let me know what day you're free π?
Or should I give up and leave you to the Irishman π? x
Her:
Itβs just hard as I donβt think Iβd be to pleased if the boy Iβm speaking to was going out for a date with someone else if you know what I mean itβs nothing against you just donβt want to be seeing multiple people x
Me:
I guess it's up to you then really. I was under the impression that you were just talking to him and that you'd said he was an asshole π
I enjoy talking to you, I find your personality and banter super exciting and want to get to know you more and be around you more xD x
But at the same time, I don't want to be some weird backup plan in case things don't work out with the other guy, ya know? I've had more than my fair share of fucked up experiences and I don't want to add another to the list π
I know this is all a bit full on, I do try to not be, it's just who I am π x
She read it within 4 minutes, and hasn't responded since
Did i fuck it up?
