Just going through divorce after an 8 year relationship and I don’t know where I go from here 🥲
Post Body

G’day!

Am just in the midst of a divorce after an 8 year relationship. To cut the story short, I (27M) found out my wife (24F) had an affair with a work colleague back in August and the timing was around our IVF treatment. It has destroyed me and I find myself resentful and untrusting.

I know it’s early days, and my intentions are to use the next 6-12 months to find myself and focus on getting my life back on track, but something which worries me is that when the time comes, I have absolutely no experience in dating. I’d been with my now ex wife since high school, and I didn’t have much of a dating life prior to the relationship.

I’d love to hear from people who have been in a similar situation. How did you get back on the horse and what was your experience? I don’t want to feel like all hope is lost for me now and I’ll continue my life being committed to my work and single 😫
