How intertwined is alcohol with dating culture these days?

Hey all - some background on me: I’m single, 27M in chicago. I recently have decided to take a break from alcohol and weed (they’ve been negatively impacting my life). I want to focus on work and building myself up at the gym.
I’m a little worried that dating these days heavily revolves around alcohol. I feel pressured to make dates with girls that involve drinking.
Am I looking into this too much? Any advice, especially from girls, would be appreciated.
