I (m36) have been on a few dates lately. Trying to get back out there after my my last relationship ended. All of these dates have, in my opinion been great. They’ve all been 3 hours, and there was nearly 0 awkward silences. Both dates have felt great. We’re laughed and chatted and discussed future goals. Mostly we just laughed and enjoyed each others company. They’ve both ended with her saying are wants to meet again and have me come over and make dinner (I’m a chef). After the date, there was the “had a great time with you, want to see you again” messaged back and forth which were met with letter replies from her with “can’t wait to see you again” and “thank you so much for a great night, can’t wait to hang out again”. Then after chatting for a few days, and occasionally being asked be me and even her, I get the “I’m really busy” or “I’m going through a hard time” or “I’m just not able up have a relationship right now”. Yet they still reach out and ask when I’m free and when I’m able to meet. Or they set a time to meet, then cancel last minute. I already assume and realize certain things, but I’m wondering if it’s worth pursuing or even keeping in contact. Am I a second choice? I’m good looking, have a great income (not that any of this should be based on that), have a nice house, and I’m (as I’m told) very funny.
