Should I Wait?
Post Body

Hey everyone. So, let's start with a brief historical context.

In 2023, I was dating someone else who was married, no problems with the relationship, but she and her family moved out of the country in October. I had my own place for ten months of the year, a contract job at the start, and then had to go back to driving for Uber for the bulk of the year.

Fast forward a bit to Halloween 2023, I finished my lease, got rid of what I could, and drove back to live with my mom and try to get myself back in good standing.

Speeding up to today, it's been four months and I'm still living with my mom, but I still have my own car and I've recently started a full time position with the state, so I'm working on getting myself out of debt and saving enough to either move out at some point in the future or try to get out of debt sooner.

My question for those that are reading is, should I wait until I get my own place before I start dating again or if by chance I do meet someone, take the time to explain my situation and hope for understanding?

My gut tells me to wait and be patient while I get myself financially stable again. On the other hand, I'm only 37 and there's no harm in trying, just an expenditure of the available time I have outside of work and helping out my immediate family.

Thoughts or advice is welcome. Thanks in advance!
