I want to leave my current city after two years but can’t leave until the summer and secure a new job
Post Body

I need advice on how to handle this situation since it’s the new year.

I have lived in San Antonio for two years and realized it’s not me due to the people, dating scene, and other factors I don’t feel like explaining again but I want to move to Houston since it’s a bigger population, more diverse, and more open minded people I can actually develop friendships and a better dating experience then San Antonio.

Before the ball dropped for the new year I deleted all my contacts who I don’t communicate with regularly and ones I don’t see anything to gain so I’m back to square one and have no one here anymore.

My question is if I decide I want to move out of SA to a new city this summer should I go out the way and date still and try to make new friends or just stay in my apartment all day playing my games after work and stay to myself to avoid putting myself out there just to get hurt or left behind again?

After the bad experiences I had in 2023 in this city I don’t want to repeat these bad mistakes but I also crave intimacy and I like to be social and go out and have fun with people but I don’t want to be burnt again.

What should I do ?
