Why is it so hard to put myself out there to make friends and have a healthy dating life in my city.

29 years old black male living in San Antonio Texas for two years now but I haven’t seen any results or good things come out of here other than getting my car stolen twice, a horrible relationship, fake and two faced people who I thought were friends and a Terrible dating scene.

I have tried the apps and I have deleted them over 30 times due to not getting the matches I want or none at all or fake bots. And the matches I would receive it never led to dates or it was pulling teeth just to meet up for one time snd boom don’t see them again.

Why is it so hard to make friends or establish a social network or life in a new city and state in your late 20s? I’m really needing advice or recommendations for the next city I will relocate too because San Antonio ain’t it. I don’t have any felonies or sketchy past, I got a degree my own place good job and well traveled I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I’m looking at relocating to Austin next summer since it’s more of a 25-34 age demographic and try again to put myself out there, I don’t wanna go back to Ohio all my friends are married and have kids and I’m just in my apartment all the time alone on redit and YouTube consuming content that is making me more miserable.
