How Do You Handle Family Conversations?
Post Body

I (23 M) have a terrible relationship with my mother and a decent to bad relationship with my father. I’m pretty much (almost) no contact with both. My concern is that a lot of women prioritize a man’s relationship with his family, specifically his mother as a sign of him being a good man. Which I guess makes sense. Neither of my parents were abusive just generally aren’t great people and I feel as though there is less understanding in saying that I just don’t like to deal with them. Wondering how people with bad familial relations handle situations like this.
