To give some idea: I’m usually reserved and silent, avoids talking if possible (Usually out of paranoia that if I talk I might irritate someone), and somewhat bad at socializing. And from what I’ve heard, women just doesn’t want to date a man that is all those traits, under the assumption that they want an outspoken man with infinite social energy, and always be able to have the man entertain her without her explicit request. And yet if we wanted to make a move we have to effectively break our standard routine to pretend to be socially active, despite it taking a massive effort to do so.

Because of this, I’m starting to believe that maybe there isn’t such a thing as “There won’t be anyone who would want you for who you are”, because it seemed like being who you aren’t is a much more effective method of finding a partner.
