I (M31) am questioning what brought others into a relationship/what they’re looking for.
Post Body

I think I'm funny, decent looking enough, I have Masters degree, I'm a decent cook/baker, and I'm a pretty successful in my career.

But after a long, abusive, incessantly derogative relationship of 6 years that ended with her cheating and her saying it was alright because "there was no romance anyway and we were basically just roommates/best friends", I just feel insecure in my value.

Now that I’m speaking with someone who is genuinely great, I guess I’m just wondering why someone who is already happy would want to date me lol, like what do people actually want in a relationship?
