So I started dating a really good friend of mine about a week ago. In the past, before we started to date, we used to face time for hours as friends. But we only talked to each other about once or twice a week if not less.
Now that we are dating she likes to FaceTime everyday. Its her preferred method of communicating. She has said she doesn't really like texting. However, I love texting and im not a huge fan of FaceTime, at least not as much as we do it. I feel it takes up too much of my introverted mental bandwidth and it ties me to my phone for majority of my evening.
I really love my solitude sometimes and just being alone with myself and freeing up at least a few of my evenings would be awesome.
Being that we are long distance, would it be selfish or wrong if I suggested only certain days to FaceTime? The other days we can maybe call or stick to texting. We will be LD for at least a year and I don't think I have it in me to FaceTime pretty much daily for an entire year.
