Last night, I got stood up for a first date. This has never happened to me before and I’m really struggling with it. What makes it difficult is I never saw it coming. He was a good, genuine guy. There were no red flags. He kept talking about how excited he was to meet me and would say the sweetest things. He asked me out. I said yes. He picked the restaurant and we decided on a time. Like 30 minutes before our date, I texted and said see you soon. Never got a response. Got there early and waited in my car. Let him know I was there. Nothing. 10 minutes later, I asked if everything was ok. Nothing. I’m heartbroken, confused, and feeling hopeless. This was going to be my first date after ending a 2 year relationship. If this guy that I thought was so amazing and made me feel so good could do this to me, how could I ever trust my emotions again? To make matters worse, I texted him late last night and said “Would you at least tell me why” and I got no response. I don’t know where to go from here 😔
