Even though I'm charismatic in real life, texting makes me incredibly uncomfortable and I feel like I generally am pretty bad at it. I'm 25M, and for years now I have been getting worse and worse at texting, to the point where I ask a girl out and then panic because I have to text her and avoid it, then when I do it feels dry or just weird.
I've dated and had casual flings over the years, but it's been a while since I've really been in the dating game due to COVID. I used to love texting and would do it all day, now I'm terrified of it and find it painful. I'm pretty sure I've ruined some good opportunities because of this.
I now have a girl who agreed to go out with me, and I have no idea how to text her and set it up. How do I overcome this and have fun with texting again? Should I be getting a girl on the phone instead, since I'm generally well spoken?
โHey X you free Saturday at 4pm?โ
Itโs that easy, if sheโs not free ask what time works for her.
