Is it reasonable to look for long-term if I plan on moving?

Post Body

I'm 33, finishing up my degree in 2024 and I have zero intention of staying where I am—I'll likely be moving cross country (to the Western US) or internationally after I graduate. Granted that's a year and a half away, but this puts me in kind of a pickle because I'm not opposed to LT dating but it seems to put a complicated wrinkle in things. When I go over the scenarios, it seems unlikely that someone could commit to that kind of situation, and I don't want to have my decision of final location influenced by another person. Otherwise, there's the risk of having to break something meaningful apart in the end if they don't want to leave. Dating someone with kids also seems out of the question. At bottom I feel like I'd be wasting someone else's time if I have this moving intention despite being open to long term. I would obviously express this intention very early in the interaction, but I'm interested in hearing feedback on this situation.
