So I was good friends with this girl back in HS and after we graduated and didn't see each other in person each day we kinda drifted but I would message her every* day just casually platonic stuff, I mean did I have a huge crush on her? yeah obviously other wise I wouldn't be writing this post duh.

and I uh got tired of being the one to start every conversation, so I decided to stop doing exactly that.... and that was almost a full year ago.......

anyways the point is this girl just today messages me out of the blue asking for this persons info, I gave the info and just kinda figured I was just a phone book for this interaction.... well now she's been texting me quite a bit, like the girl who was notorious for taking several hours to reply is replying before I can lock my phone....... and is now also saying things like "Maybe we could get lunch sometime and catch up" and when I kinda dodge (BC I have work during the day, she's on summer break from college) she follows up with "well lets just do dinner then, that work? where do you wanna go?"
Reddit please help, I'm awful at reading signals AND relation ships.... is this just an old friend trying to reach out or am I dreaming up some grand plot where all those feelings I had werent for nothing?

Honestly don't want to f*ck myself up any more than I already am rn so if I set the wrong expectations (or go in with none and still get disappointed) its really gonna suck.....
