I tend to try to be helpful, sometimes overly. It's something I recognize and try to be aware of, heh.
Anyway, I met a woman on OLD who I've been on one in person date with. She has a job interview in a city pretty far north of Boston that will require her to take a bus, two trains, the commuter rail and likely an Uber to get to.
I work in Boston and will be in town the day of the interview.
I live 15 minutes north of the city she's interviewing in.
I was already planning on leaving work early Friday so I offered to drive her if that would be helpful.
I know what's it like to prepare for an interview and then add a crazy commute to get there with many opportunities for issues (Boston public transit sucks, very easily to get fucked over by trains being late).
I suppose she could take an Uber the whole way, but that would be $62 each way.
So, consensus: am I being considerate and helpful or putting my nose where it doesn't belong? She seems amenable, and understands in the grand scheme of things I'm not going way out of my way to make it happen.. I think.
