I’m in high school, (senior), and I usually hang out in the library a lot. I eat lunch there, I usually get to school early so I spend like 30-45 mins in the morning there, basically if I’m not in a class I’m in the library. So while I’ve been doing this routine this year, I’ve noticed this one girl, (We know who each other r, she’s been in some of my classes past years, but I didn’t really think much of her until this year, and we never really talked), and she’s always in the library coming and going a lot as well. Sometimes I see her there in the morning, and she always eats lunch with her friends in there. So while we see each other a lot around the library and walking in the halls to classes and such, (I may be crazy and totally misreading this, I do sort of have a crush on her so Idk if my mind is just playing tricks or what), but I’ve noticed her staring at me most times when we pass each other in the hall or when she enters the library at lunch with her friends, sometimes I’ll catch her looking. If this was all I had however, I wouldn’t even consider her interested at all,(not enough to make a move). But last week, I was at the vending machines getting a drink, and her dual credit class just got out, and all the kids in that class were all heading out to their cars (it was one of the last periods of the day) and they had to go thru the cafeteria to get to the backdoors of the school where the parking lot was. The vending machines r tucked into a corner of the cafeteria, and there’s a door right next to them to get out to the parking lot. Now, when I was waiting for the machine to get me my drink, I sorta scanned over the ppls faces who had come out of that class, and I noticed that one girl in mix, heading to those doors that were right next to the vending machines. Now while she was walking to those doors we were facing each other, I was looking at her, and she (I think, once again I can’t b sure) was looking at me. Like I’ve said many times in this post, I don’t know if I’m actually seeing what I’m seeing or if these events r just a bunch of coincidences happening and my brain is trying to make them into something more... but I kid u not, as she was walking towards those doors, she saw me looking at her and she smiled at me. (Like I said, idk if it was just coincidence or if she was thinking about something else or if she was listening to something funny in her earbuds, but that’s what I saw, I saw a smile for sure). Of course in the heat of the moment I looked away cuz I’m shy guy and now she prob thinks I’m uninterested. Normally I would already b divising a plan on how I wanted to approach her, but last I checked she had a boyfriend first semester, and idk if they’re still together, I haven’t seen the dude in awhile, and he used to come up to the library and eat lunch with her sometimes. I also checked her twitter, and the last post she made with her bf was last October and it was a 6 month anniversary post. So my plan is to wait til March 12 (their full year) and see if she posts a full year one. If she does, game over. If she doesn’t, I’ll start formulating a plan on a first move. Does that plan sound good? Or should I just stop overthinking it and hope her and her boyfriend aren’t together anymore and approach her? (Also what could I say?)
