I 19(f) got this guys number at a festival. I thought he was really cute and after we started texting we realized we had lots in common. We both like nerdy stuff like dnd and dark souls. We had a first date that lasted a few hours and in my opinion it went well. We talked for hours about the stuff we liked and had a good conversation. Age never came up but at the end I asked him how old he was and turned out he's 27. I was superr surprised because I didn't look that old at all.

I'm conflicted if I should try anything more with him. He's very sweet, cute and someone I think I can get along with. After the date he messaged me saying he enjoyed talking to me but it's been a few days and I haven't heard more from him. I think we would be at very different stages of life, but I still had fun talking to him.

Is this age gap too weird? Do you think he's not interested anymore because he hasn't messaged me yet? Tbh I would be open to something more casual, should I mention that? I'd be worried about wasting his time though
