Why does dating suck now a days

Like the title says I’ve struggled with dating all through middle high school and all the way till now and it seems like no matter what I try I don’t ever get any success (I’m 25 now for context). I’ve tried dating apps being outgoing. I’ve even debated trying out a matchmaker. Is there any better places to look than apps or just out and about?
