Almost every date I’ve been on, the guy will ask some time towards the end if I’d be willing to go on a second date. Being a non-confrontational person and a people pleaser, I never know what to say when I’m already pretty sure I don’t want to see them again. I usually end up just saying something like “sure” because I don’t want to be rude/hurt their feelings. Then I’ll text later that night or the next day that I don’t want a second date. Are there any ways to answer this question in the moment to make it as nice as possible? Are people just blunt, say “no thanks,” then leave?
