Hello,
I (29F) have not been looking for anything serious for almost a couple years now, since my last serious relationship. I have a high libido so I’ve always sought out sexual encounters.
I’ve always wondered if anything serious can develop from a sexual encounter. So far, the experiences I’ve had haven’t led to that. Only once did I start catching feelings but they were 10 years older and I made a mistake that tarnished that.
I’ve been talking to someone for a few weeks and things are going amazingly well. Slowly, but it’s refreshing in a way. I’m worried that if we engage in anything sexual, it’ll ruin the chances of anything more?
Even before my ex, I was very sexually active. I don’t know if I should cut contact with some play partners to give that a chance or if it’s wrong that I’m still even engaging? I’ve considered that I may have a sex addiction but I’m not sure.
Anyway, I’d just like to know if anyone has had success with a long term relationship when it originated from a sexual relationship. I’d like to cut everyone else off and start a sexual relationship with this person but I think I’d also like to just take my time to build up to something more.
