I feel like modern dating simply sucks. There's always "someone more attractive" or "someone more interesting." People don't bother spending time genuinely getting to know each other or forming meaningful connections, as they're always looking for the "new shiny" thing.
I wish that there wasn't so much random psychology behind dating. People want someone who is honest, and communicates but then at the same time as a man, women then somehow find you "boring" and there's no "mystery."
It would be nice if there were no games or hidden tricks/thinking about how the other gender approaches things. If we could all just be completely straight forward from day 1 about our goals, intentions, values, etc. it would save everyone a lot of time and energy but it seems like most people aren't interested in that these days and only care about themselves.
