Am i doing something wrong or are tinder matches just like this?

So when i match on tinder or hinge it never goes well. Most of the time it boils down to this.
Me: Hello ☺️
Them: Hey there
Me: how are you doing today
Them: good, hbu
Me: thats good and im also doing good.
Then it ends there am i messing up or are most people on tinder just kind dull and uninterested?
