I’m currently traveling for an extended period of time. I have no plans to meet or hook up with anyone while I’m away. I’ve maintained a texting rapport with people I met and dated before I traveled.

How can I tell someone that I’m enjoying talking to and I find attractive that his sexting style is a complete turn off for me? I’m a bit shy about discussing this type of thing with my friends, and I’m not sure if I have weird preference and maybe other women like this?

I’m into descriptive texting and sharing pictures and videos, even FaceTiming. The problem is I don’t like the type of content he shares, it totally kills the mood. He sent me a video of him sticking his tongue out simulating oral and I just thought he looked stupid. He wanted me to send a video of me sucking on my fingers and that felt stupid. The final straw was when yesterday he set up his phone and took a video of himself gyrating against the bed, simulating sex with thin air? I was just 🥴. I feel like he’s showing me the parts of sex that wouldn’t be visible to me when we’re actually fucking so it makes no sense. I would much rather he text me, or see him stroking, or even share porn.

Am I wrong? Do other people enjoy seeing this? How can I nicely tell him I don’t and I’d like to do something different? Or do I just stop texting him altogether?
