I 32F was meant to go on a date with 33M last night. We agreed to meet at 6pm in a town in the middle (he only lived half an hour away but insisted to meet in the middle) and we were going to go for drinks and dinner.
At 5.20 I left my house to walk to the train station and he called me to ask if I wanted him to book a table. I was a bit flustered because I was not expecting a call and I was walking uphill so maybe slightly out of breath? Well I don't know what happened because after a 20 seconds conversation the line dropped (I am pretty sure he put the phone down on me).
After a few minutes I texted him saying yes to the place he chose for dinner and that he should go ahead and book the table. These texts never delivered, I thought maybe he was in the train and that's why the line dropped and the texts didn't deliver.
Well it seems that wasn't the case as I never heard from him again and I was unmatched on Hinge. Thank God I did not get on the train and wasted money on the fare. I did waste a few hours of my life getting ready and walking to and from the train station for nothing.
I am wondering what is wrong with my voice that he decided to ghost me after me saying three words? I am not a native speaker of English but that is made pretty clear in my profile. I have an accent but no one ever had a problem with it, usually guys like it or find it cute/funny.
Man, people are weird! Definitely dodged a bullet! Also learned my lesson that if a guy can't spend an extra 10 minutes on the train to meet you he is probably (most definitely) not worth it.
