So i have tried 3 years across 5 apps and had zero luck. I hate people suggesting i try them when i mention being shy cause they just dont seem to work for me. I try and make my profile as honest as possible, ill be real im not a super interesting or hyper-attractive person and i dont try to hide that as it feels wrong pretending to be someone im not. Maybe this is the reason i get no matches, idk.
Over these 3 years ive only gotten 8 or so matches that didnt lead to me being ghosted after a day or 2 and of those 1 led to a date. Is this a sign to just stop with them? I feel like im so desperate if i keep up hope they will work one day when it is clear they are not.
Also when i do get matches they are so one-sided and this is starting to irritate me. I have to put in 100% of effort to talk to the matches and in return i get the shortest possible responses and they stop even bothering to message at all if i dont keep starting conversations.
Should i stop using dating apps even if im shy and force myself to be embarassed and and clutz in person with trying to get dates?
