I (25 F) have always really disliked the sensation of sex, and it’s something I really don’t want to have in my life.
I’ve tried a couple of asexual dating sites, but there’s barely anyone on there and no one anywhere near me. And I don’t know if I’d really define myself as asexual, because maybe I could learn to deal with it, but I just hate always being expected to do it as soon as the other person demands it.
I’ve also tried traditional dating sites and just being upfront about it from the very beginning, but no one has any interest in a sexless relationship and they drop me as soon as they realize I’m not changing my mind about it.
Is it unreasonable to want a relationship without sex? I know it’s an unpopular desire, and by no means would I go into a relationship wanting to change someone’s mind about sex, but I’m just wondering if there’s any way to date without it at all that I’m just not aware of. I love romance, dating, kissing, cuddling, all that. It’s just when things get sexual I feel physically sick and it’s just all an unpleasant sensation. I just feel like my only options are to be single forever or tolerate it and don’t know if I can do that
