I (38f) started dating a guy (43m) 3 months ago. Long distance (3 hours flight). We met and we are still dating and planning to meet next . He is divorced and has two kids, Pakistani but grow up in Canada. I have one daughter. He seems like he likes me and trying and me as well. But some things seems off. Like he over explains things (maybe nervous) and then I notice inconsistencies in what he is saying. (Maybe cultural) Apart from this, recently he is been sick (his kids was sick too) and just seems like he is over exaggerating it sometimes, then downplays it if I a worry about it. (Saying things, it just needs to Run it’s course) I told him to go to doctors and apparently he did. It just every time I text , fever , weak or no energy etc . Even told me his voice husky and hurts etc . Which is all good , I mean I know what it’s like being sick. But it’s just how he talks about it I find it odd ..
and then I video called called him this morning and just before the call he was again saying weak , no energy etc (i advices him to get some c vitamins and vitamins and his response (Yeah, there are pharmacies around. But getting about and doing things requires energy, which I've little of at the moment. But as soon as I get the chance, certainly.)
Not long after this I video called him and he picked up . And he didn’t seem very sick tbh and driving around . So he is getting around doing things) Apparently he needs to take his daughter somewhere, school I think and was just waiting in his care for her .. I just don’t know if I can trust him.. or maybe it’s just me overthinking this ? Btw he lives couples of street down from his ex and kids and often helps out and around to their house etc. he rents an apartment and I was there before.
