Has anyone ever been in a new relationship where the feelings aren't necessarily on the same level?

Post Body

I 32M recently started dating a friend F28 of about 5 years. We decided to date after I visited her in D.C. (I live in Austin). We both got along great as friends and we have good chemistry so we decided to try out dating, and yes it is long distance which is another contributing issue. But nevertheless it feels like she had an abundance of strong feelings saved up that weren't as expressed when we were friends as they are now. I on the other hand went into dating with a more casual, let's feel out how we are together, let feelings grow type of mindset. Her strong feelings make me seem like I'm behind and I need to catch up. But how can catch up going my own pace when she's so much further ahead in terms of feelings. Has anyone ever dealt with anything remotely like this!?
