This is more of a question of the environment, not the actual social skills-related "how."
When I go to bars on Fridays and Saturdays, the room is incredibly dark, the tables and chairs have gotten moved out of the way, and the music is so loud you can barely hear yourself talk to other people without screaming. At that point, it's more like a nightclub with no sections lol. On weekdays, I understand how because it's quieter, the TVs are on, and you can actually hear yourself speak to other people, especially if it's a Happy Hour kind of thing.
For those who have attempted to talk to someone at a bar on a weekend, how did you do it? Obviously, every bar's not the same. They don't all turn into a super loud environment with a lot of sensory overload, but some do, which prompted this question.
